COMPANY PROFILE Extracts NZ is an innovative producer and wholesaler of concentrates and actives for the nutraceutical food supplements market. These are derived mainly from extracted medicinal herbs, horticultural and bee products. Established in 1990, Extracts NZ is based in Nelson, New Zealand. The Nelson District is renowned for producing award winning wines and hosts a large number of fruit orchards. The strong in-house commercial R&D capability, backed up by registered analytical facilities nearby results in Extracts and our partners creating exciting new products. At times these may be customer specific and patented. Cold extracting and preserving the active ingredients of herbs and bee products is the key to Extracts NZ success. Medicinal herbs are grown in the beautiful New Zealand countryside and purchased from herb growers who are carefully assessed to produce healthy plants of high quality. The herbs and all other

starting materials are rigorously tested to ensure they comply with exacting standards required by Extracts NZ for their products. Beekeepers have beehives scattered all over the New Zealand unpolluted countryside and we benefit with excellent bee-products, such as propolis, free of heavy metals or pesticides. Extracts NZ uses a freeze-drying technique to retain the maximum healing power of their powdered products. Extensive experience with propolis extraction and other bee-related products is a company strength and we are certified for organic production through CERTENZ, a government supported organic certification through the Ministries of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF). Extracts NZ are well underway to achieving the GMP Certification by the NZ Ministry of Health. We are committed to quality, and work to high manufacturing standards in our state of the art plant. We work with large and small customers, including Comvita, Healtheries and Goodhealth within New Zealand and export to North America and Asia.
